Buffer tanks are extensively used but installing one is not the easiest of the tasks to accomplish.
Installing buffer tank is not the easiest of the tasks to develop it. There are multiple reasons that contribute to the difficulties.
What is buffer tank?
Basically a buffer tank that is also known as inter-tank is used to reduce disturbances in any continuous process like regulating water source.
· For regulating water one cannot directly pipe it to some highly oscillating input steam.
· For reduction of impact the buffer tank is placed between the pipe and system.
· The tank will hold input water as well as averages disturbance free.
· In result; the water-current to the system would be smooth.
Buffer Tanks for Water Heating
These tanks are also used to keep the flow of fluid intact and to prevent overheating. An addition in such case is hot water cylinders through which the water flow continues. Designing the tank is difficult because the temperature as well as the volume of water would fluctuate consistently and the tank design should be such that it withstands the pressure with damaging its structure.
New Generation Insulation
To prevent heat from radiating, it is necessary that the tanks are well insulated.
· Traditional insulation system has been replaced with new generation insulation materials.
· New generation materials for insulation are plastic panels in combination with polyester fibre lining of various thicknesses.
· Since the insulation is flexible it covers the entire tank as a blanket.
Installing hot water cylinder
Buffer tanks alone cannot complete the task of heating and maintaining water flow. You need to install hot water cylinders to complement them. However in selection you have to choose between vented or unvented. While installing them you have also to decide whether you will have only normal heating system or use a backup immersion heater as well.
